John Sardella, a former elementary teacher and principal, and author visited our Pre-K through second-grade classes for an interactive author presentation. Reading from his children's books—including L is for Lacrosse: An ABC Book and Stick & Ball Learn How to Work Together, as well as titles from his Quick Stick Harry series—he used his background in education and youth sports to engage all of our learners. Through energetic storytelling, John also brought core character lessons on teamwork, friendship, and positive sportsmanship to life while inspiring a shared love for reading.  John left a lasting impression on our Pre-K–2 students, inspiring both an early love for reading and an enthusiasm for active, healthy play.  1st Grade Teacher
